TIER Mobility was founded by Leaders for Climate Action member Lawrence Leuchner with the aim of ensuring sustainable, affordable, and accessible mobility for everyone. With a three-step approach consisting of calculation, reduction, and compensation, TIER goes the extra mile for active climate protection. The calculation of these emissions is a prime example of a flagship project and aims to encourage other companies and providers of micro-mobility to join and become carbon neutral.

The complete calculation is based on the Scope 3 framework of the GHG protocol. This not only takes direct emissions from TIER's offices into account, but also all indirect emissions from production, transport, business travel, daily operation, recycling, and loading of the eScooters.

The emission sources are actively reduced by TIER. For example, the use of CO₂ intensive materials is limited, diesel delivery vans have been replaced by e-load bikes or e-vans, and only electricity from renewable energy sources is used to recharge the scooter fleet.

With the help of the compensation partners, all unavoidable emissions are offset by investing in climate protection projects. TIER supports reforestation projects in South America and Germany and thus protects 18,000 hectares of rainforest. Other initiatives, such as the cultivation of Brazil nuts, create jobs and benefit the local communities. The extra effort TIER puts into offsetting the complete product and supply chain makes it more than climate neutral: customers emit no greenhouse gases and can therefore be green and mobile.

If you would like to know more about how TIER Mobility has offset the entire product and supply chain, feel free to email us and we will be happy to connect you with Lawrence or the responsible Climate Officer.
